Brother John Averting Nuclear War

When John Franklin G. was in the a Naval Reserves during the cold war, he was approved for nuclear submarine duty. He was deep under the ocean when a Russian submarine started following them around making everyone very nervous. They wanted to keep track of the whereabouts of the Russians, when one piece of their equipment malfunctioned. The pinger. They were concerned they would run into them unawares.

They called in John Franklin to solve the problem of not being able to tell where the other submarine was. John simply turned on the missile target finder to find the whereabouts of the Russians. When the Ruskies heard the different sound they realized what it was and decided they would rather find different hunting grounds. They immediately left. John became the best friend of the captain of his ship at that point. The pinger was repaired and nuclear war was avoided.
